Dr. Vikneswaran Nair or better known as Prof. Vik Nair is currently the Deputy Vice Chancellor of University Malaysia of Computer Science & Engineering (UNIMY). He is also an adjunct professor at Wawasan Open University and UOW Malaysia, and a consultant with the Cornell Leadership Academy, Malaysia, and King's Park, Genting Highlands, Malaysia. He was formerly the President of DISTED College, Penang, Malaysia and Dean of Graduate Studies & Research at the University of The Bahamas (UB). Prior to leaving to the Bahamas in  2017, Dr. Nair was at Taylor’s University, Malaysia, for 19 years as a full Professor of Sustainable Tourism, at the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts; Programme Leader for the Responsible Rural Tourism Network; Research Fellow of the Centre for Research and Innovation in Tourism (CRiT) and the founding Director of the Centre for Research and Development at the University. A consultant with many national and international projects, Prof. Vik's exceptional research achievements with more than 400 publications to his credit have earned him many international and national awards. He is currently the Vice President of the Malaysian Ecotourism Association. His research specialisation is in Sustainable and Responsible Tourism, Tourism Technology, Rural Tourism, Ecotourism Management, Environmental Management, Community-based Tourism and Green Tourism.
